It's been slightly trying baking in the new house as the oven is seriously hot and no amount of turning it down seems to help. I'm now baking by trial and error rather than by recipe. I will post some photos of our state of the art kitchen (I'm sure it was in 1981!) when I get round to it.
While I've been 'blogless', Christmas came and went and I made Reindeer cupcakes for everybody at work. It seemed like a good idea but believe me, 25 is a lot of reindeers! Still, everybody appreciated the gesture so all's well that ends well.

It's also been my nieces' birthday. She had a swimming party and requested turquoise cupcakes. She ideally wanted each one to say 'Happy Birthday Lois' on it - I'm good but I'm not that good! Turquoise icing was tricky enough...
I also have other bits and bobs to show for my time away - will catch up on those another day!
